Self-managed domain names are existing domains that you do not wish to transfer to SuperPages.com. Your domain name registration remains with your current registrar and you are responsible for ongoing domain name management and renewal fees. To use your existing domain name with a Superpages.com service, please follow the steps outlined below.


Four steps to transfer your domain

Sign up
Choose not to transfer your existing domain when you sign up for a Web site hosting or eCommerce hosting package.

Save existing files
Save a backup of your existing Web site content. If you already have a Web site associated with your domain name, you may not be able to access it after the name server change has taken place. You may also want to forward your email to an account not associated with your domain name so that none are lost after the change.

Change your DNS settings
Save a backup of your existing Web site content. If you already have a Web site associated with your domain name, you may not be able to access it after the name server change has taken place. You may also want to forward your email to an account not associated with your domain name so that none are lost after the change. Change your name server information with your current registrar. You will need to change the domain name server (DNS) settings of the domain with the following information:

DNS server 1:   ns1.mysuperpageshosting.com
DNS server 2:   ns2.mysuperpageshosting.com
DNS server 3:   ns3.mysuperpageshosting.com
DNS server 4:   ns4.mysuperpageshosting.com

In most cases you can make the changes yourself online, or you can contact customer service to make the change for you.

Domain change complete
The Internet will begin to recognize the new location of your domain name. It typically takes 24 to 48 hours for a domain to be updated throughout the Internet. You may not be able to view your Web site before this process is complete.
